Project Faraday

Projecto Faraday is the result of a proposal from the Office for Education and Scholarships of the Gulbenkian Foundation to the Physics Department.

The goal is to demonstrate the feasibility of an approach to the high school teaching of physics that leads to a faster adaption of the students to undergraduate studies, without compromising their success in the end of high school exams.

Eureka

Recognising the necessity of allowing young students a direct contact with Physics, in its more entertaining and fasciniting aspects, the Physics Department organized Eureka , a space where several experiments and demonstrations can be seen by everyone.
