My present research area is Statistical Physics of nonequilibrium systems.

I have worked on  various models that display phase transitions to absorbing states and investigated how the dynamics and the symmetry influence the critical behaviour, eventually leading to different universality classes.

More recently, I have been interested in the Statistical Physics of nonequilibrium small systems.
